The Perfect Whistler Trip

This could mean a million different things to a million different people. To me it was our ‘Tourists In Our Own Town’ time here in Whistler and it went a little something like this…

Driving, Biking, Hiking

A beautiful coastal drive along the Sea to Sky Highway with stops at Shannon Falls and Brandywine Falls to stretch our legs along the little forest pathways, climb some trees and rocks, and of course take in the sights and sounds of the Falls.
Onto our bikes we go! The Valley Trail is your family friendly cycling and walking connection to all things Whistler. We took the trail toward the Village with fun stops at a couple of bike parks along the way to test our skills. The kids win!
Off to the GLC (Garibaldi Lift Company) at the base of the mountain in Whistler Village for lunch, a few bevies and a great viewing spot to watch the mountain bikers rip down the mountain trails.
The following day we embarked on a hike we had never done before – Loggers Lake/Crater Rim Trail. Wow, challenging but the reward at the end was magnificent! A pristine lake with a fallen log you can walk on that reaches toward the middle. Absolutely beautiful!
The bike home along the Valley Trail took us by Green Lake north of the Village. Too cold to swim there but oh so gorgeous.
Another day, another Whistler adventure – we took the Whistler Gondola up the mountain for some hiking and a ride on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola for spectacular views, finishing the day at Portobello at Fairmont Whistler, a local favourite, for coffees and doughnuts!
We’re exhausted, our hearts are full, and we can’t wait to do it all over again!

Fall has arrived and no matter what the season, Whistler is adventure-ready.
Thank you Whistler for OUR perfect Whistler trip. What will yours be?
