Things to do in Vancouver in Summer!

April 17, 2013

Flowers in bloom, the sun beaming on the face…what a great feeling!  It’s those first signs of Spring and Summer in Vancouver that make the masses excited about all the amazing things to do in this city and its surrounding areas.

Here are some top Vancouver activities for your must-see-and-do list…

A Day in Vancouver
Grab your favourite coffee first thing in the morning and get ready to make memories exploring Stanley Park, shopping on Robson Street, feeding your cultural taste buds in charming Gastown and Chinatown, checking out the view at English Bay’s beachfront, and enjoying the vibrant hustle and bustle of Granville Island Public Market.  What a great spot to stop for lunch and take in the live entertainment!
After lunch a North Shore is definitely worth while to explore the Capilano Suspension Bridge and/or head up to the Grouse Mountain gondola.  What a brilliant day!
Time to hit a funky Yaletown restaurant or lounge for good eats and hit the pillow to rest up for day two!

A Day in Whistler
Grab your favourite morning coffee, again!  And enjoy the breathtaking coastal beauty of the Sea-to-Sky highway up to Whistler.  There are so many charming stops you can take along the way including Porteau Cove, Shannon Falls, and the Britannia Mining Museum.  Once in Whistler, the cobblestoned pedestrian Village will grab your attention.  Explore the boutique shops and enjoy a patio lunch.  Heading up the Whistler Blackcomb gondola for some sightseeing and perhaps even some hiking is a must!  And the Peak 2 Peak Gondola is such a beautiful way to take in both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

Langley Wine Tour
Ready to get your Wine on?  You could take an afternoon to explore the local wineries that continue to impress with every passing year.  Neck of the Woods, Township 7 Vineyards, Glenugie Winery, the Forte Wine Company and Domaine de Chaberton are some of the favourites.  Leaving time to dine at Domaine de Chaberton is highly recommended!

A Day in Victoria
Yes, more coffee…must have that morning coffee!  And then grab a morning ferry out of Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to Victoria.  Wander around the gorgeous and all impressive Butchart Gardens and then into downtown Victoria to explore the main streets, restaurants and charming shops before grabbing your return ferry.  Might even see a pod of whales out there as you sail from one coast line to the next.  Simply beautiful!

Summer in Vancouver is fast approaching and there is much to consider and even more to do!!  We’d love to make your Vancouver experience something to remember.
