If there’s thought around taking a trip to Whistler this season we want to share some of our great Whistler getaway faves! Although many have felt like they just wanted to fast forward to better days, some time spent in Whistler is always a great reminder to simply allow yourself to be in the moment and enjoy it.
Of course, the snowfall has been EPIC this season, which the skiing and riding community has been absolutely pumped about! We’re always dreaming about that next run, that next morning or afternoon on the hill. But if that’s not what draws you to the Resort, Whistler is a diverse and very special place, with so much more in store than just skiing and riding the mountain…
Other Whistler Activities
Firstly, the gondola is always a great option for you! Take the Gondola up for some snow hiking, sightseeing and a ride across the Peak 2 Peak Gondola for epic mountain views.
Alternatively, there’s Olympic Plaza Skate Rink right in the Village. Bring your own skates or visit the on-site rental shop.
As well, you can stroll the Village walk for some window shopping or just to enjoy the unique cobblestone pedestrian streets and twinkling lights that illuminate the Village every night.
Ready for great eats? Portobello at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler is an absolute favourite for food and feel. We highly recommend the veggie chilli and cannot resist the array of displayed sweet treats! Or craving some lounge time? Their Mallard Lounge is the perfect place to relax, enjoy live music and order up a cocktail.
The trails around Lost Lake are normally busy with biker, hikers, and walkers in the summer. Similarly, these are quickly filled with snowshoes and cross-country skis or skate skis in the winter months. You can visit the PassivHaus for cross country ski rentals and area information.
