Whistler this Spring!

April 18, 2024

What’s happening in Whistler this Spring season? Spring is such a special time in Whistler! The sun returns for spring skiing and it’s also the time that people begin to dust off their bikes for a true multi-sport season.  Here is your spring update for Whistler as well as some great tips and ideas for things to do while in Resort this season.

Spring Skiing

Spring skiing has been in full swing! Blackcomb is closed for the season now but Whistler will continue to host riders until later in the season.  There’s still time for sunny ski days this season!
Need rentals? Visit Black Tie Ski Rentals – delivered to you and fitted at your accommodation by local experts.

Whistler Village

Whistler Village is blooming with signs of spring! Beautiful flowers and trees to enjoy as you wander through Whistler’s charming pedestrian cobblestone Village. And it’s patio season! Pop into any of of Whistler’s great restaurants with outdoor patios for great music, atmosphere and eats.
Some of our favourite places patio spots right in the Village are the Garibaldi Lift Co., the Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub and the Longhorn Saloon & Grill right in the Village, as well as Merlin’s Bar & Grill.

Whistler Hotels

This is also a great time to scoop discounts and deals at many of the Whistler Hotels.  Visiting Whistler outside of the peak winter months allows you to take in your holiday with fewer crowds and better pricing and availability.

Things to Do in Whistler in Spring?

This list is long, but here are just a few highlight activities for you. Take in one of the fun events running at Whistler’s Olympic Plaza, or simply grab your beach chairs or picnic blanket and relax on the massive grass space there.  A family highlight for us last summer were the evening “Movies in the Plaza” nights! Whistler has five spectacular lakes for swimming and relaxing – Green Lake, Alta Lake, Nita Lake, Lost Lake, and Alpha Lake.  They are all so beautiful and offer perfect views when walking, hiking, or kayaking/canoeing this spring.  The Resort also boasts three top golf courses – Fairmont Chateau Golf Course, Nicklaus North Golf Course, and the Whistler Golf Course.  Go exploring by foot or by bike along the miles of paved Valley Trail, or adventure further into the surrounding forests.  Just plan ahead and be respectful of our local bears. This only barely scratches the surface on things to do in Whistler this spring season but contact us and our team is happy to throw endless ideas your way!

It’s always a great time to visit Whistler and visiting in springtime is an rejuvenating experience.  Welcome to the season of renewal and we invite you to rejuvenate and adventure in Whistler. It’s also the perfect time to take in the spectacular ocean and mountain views that you see along the Sea to Sky highway. Join us! Our fleet of beautiful vehicles is fully prepped for the Sea to Sky highway and our exceptional team is excited to welcome you door to door.
