The Perfect Whistler Trip
The perfect Whistler trip could mean a million different things to a million different people. To me it was our ‘Tourists In Our Own Town’ time here in Whistler and it went a little something like this…
Driving, Biking, Hiking
A beautiful coastal drive along the Sea to Sky Highway with stops at Shannon Falls and Brandywine Falls to stretch our legs along the little forest pathways, climb some trees and rocks, and of course take in the sights and sounds of the Falls.
Onto our bikes we go! The Valley Trail is your family friendly cycling and walking connection to all things Whistler. We took the trail toward the Village with fun stops at a couple of bike parks along the way to test our skills. The kids win!
Off to the GLC (Garibaldi Lift Company) at the base of the mountain in Whistler Village for lunch, a few bevies and a great viewing spot to watch the mountain bikers rip down the mountain trails.
The following day we embarked on a hike we had never done before – Loggers Lake/Crater Rim Trail. Wow, challenging but the reward at the end was magnificent! A pristine lake with a fallen log you can walk on that reaches toward the middle. Absolutely beautiful!
The bike home along the Valley Trail took us by Green Lake north of the Village. Too cold to swim there but oh so gorgeous.
Another day, another Whistler adventure – we took the Whistler Gondola up the mountain for some hiking and a ride on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola for spectacular views, finishing the day at Portobello at Fairmont Whistler, a local favourite, for coffees and doughnuts!
We’re exhausted, our hearts are full, and we can’t wait to do it all over again!
Fall has arrived and no matter what the season, Whistler is adventure-ready.
Thank you Whistler for OUR perfect Whistler trip. What will yours be?

Welcome to the year of the DO…so do Whistler and let’s make some memories!
They are saying that consumers are more focussed now more than ever on what they DO rather than what they HAVE. We absolutely agree.
It’s becoming more about building on meaningful and memorable experiences rather than physical things. Whistler oozes with opportunity for this. With that said, here are some ideas to help you with your Whistler DO this year.
Winter Olympics 2018
Throw on your festive gear and head to the Village for a number of Olympic activities and events with live music, Olympic themed activities and Olympic Plaza broadcasts throughout the Winter Games.
Ice Kingdom Whistler
From now through March 31st, feast your eyes on the impressive 40,000 square feet of ice and snow sculptures inspired by the 300 year old Chinese tradition of gathering and creating beautiful sculptures out of ice and snow. Whistler Golf Course is hosting and will feature ice slides for children, interactive sculptures and brilliant light displays.
April 10th through 15th brings us the ever popular World Ski and Snowboard Festival! This snow and ski festival, coming into it’s 23rd year, celebrates all things Whistler. Ski races, big air competitions, live music and entertainment, and popular filmmaker showdown. Excitement to the extreme and not to be missed!
So we invite you to come to Whistler to build on or begin building your experiences and memories. DO Whistler with us!
