Riding the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler is breathtaking in itself as you travel alongside those amazing ocean colours and backdrop mountains the whole way up.
Once in Whistler, TAKE IT UP a few notches with activities such as taking the gondola up for some Whistler Blackcomb mountaintop hiking and a memorable ride on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, or hit the Mountain Bike Park for your adrenaline rush, or take a canoe or kayak down the winding River of Golden Dreams from Alta Lake to Green Lake. Still have time to spare in your day? Go for a tree top adventure, zip-lining, or ATVing to fill those adventure gaps.
Or, TAKE IT DOWN a few notches by enjoying a leisurely bike ride or walk along the Whistler’s extensive and peaceful Valley Trail for a picnic at one of Whistler’s amazing lakes, beaches or parks. If you’re looking for some serious down-time, be sure to visit the Scandinave Spa, or book a tee time at one of Whistler’s impressive golf courses, or grab your rod and drop a line for a quiet afternoon of fishing.
Wanting to continue on that relaxation train? Enjoy a walk through the boutique shops in Whistler Village and stop into one of Whistler’s many award winning restaurants for drinks and delectable eats.

We were in the presence of greatness a few weeks ago…
The Stanley Cup, also known as The Holy Grail, Lord Stanley’s Cup, The Cup and Lord Stanley’s Mug took a ride with Luxury Transport Inc. and we couldn’t have been more honoured.
It was our greatest pleasure to be of service to Mr. Cam Neely, a previous Vancouver Canuck and Boston Bruin, and acting President of the Boston Bruins, as he visited various Vancouver landmarks with his family and precious Cup in hand.
A few fun tid-bits about Lord Stanley’s Cup…
The current Stanley Cup, topped with a copy of the original bowl, is made of silver and nickel alloy.
It has the names of all winning players, coaches, management and club staff engraved on its chalice.
It was awarded for the first time in 1893 as the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup and then in 1926 became the official championship trophy of the NHL with 94 Cup wins since the 1914-15 season.
There were only two years that the Cup was not awarded: 1919 because of the Spanish Flu and 2005 because of the NHL lockout.
It’s Canada Day 2011 and planning for the many festivities and parades is in full swing!
Choices are in abundance of places to join in the celebration, including…
Canada Place Parade and Festivities
Granville Island Parade and Festivities
Steveston Salmon Festival and Parade
North Van’s Waterfront Park Party and Parade
and so many more!
Parades are those wonderful events that bring out cheering crowds and smiling faces, and for me they bring out the tears! It’s embarrassing, I know, but I get so overwhelmed with emotion and excitement for my children…watching their faces as they take in the many sights, colours, sounds, and hearing their little high-pitched cheers that it just gets me every single time.
Get out there, celebrate, enjoy, and show your colours for Canada Day! Oh yah, and if you’re anything like me, bring some kleenex! 🙂
Ever thought of a Canada Day parade and festivities tour? We can travel around to the many Canada Day parades and festivities around town so you can take it all in and then some!
If you’re looking for a quick and easy weekend getaway then look no further…
It was a weekend for the ladies and my sister, mother and myself took off to Anacortes, Washington for the weekend. We stayed in Anacortes, an adorable little town with lots of little boutique shops and cafes, and really enjoyed our stay at the Majestic Inn & Spa – a beautifully restored historic hotel full of charm and wonderfully friendly and accommodating staff. Our meals were divine and the observatory room with a 360 degree view on the 5th floor was absolutely tops!
Anacortes is just a few minutes drive from the well known La Conner – a tiny town of sweet boutique stores and ice cream shops on the water.
We spent the weekend shopping the Burlington Outlets (unbeatable deals!), browsing the antique shops in La Conner and Anacortes, and relaxing in the spa at the Majestic Inn.
A perfect girls getaway!
We’d love to take you there!
And if you’ve had a fabulous quick getaway recently we’d love to hear about it!
