Welcome to the year of the DO…so do Whistler and let’s make some memories!

They are saying that consumers are more focussed now more than ever on what they DO rather than what they HAVE.  We absolutely agree.

It’s becoming more about building on meaningful and memorable experiences rather than physical things.  Whistler oozes with opportunity for this.  With that said, here are some ideas to help you with your Whistler DO this year.

Winter Olympics 2018

Throw on your festive gear and head to the Village for a number of Olympic activities and events with live music, Olympic themed activities and Olympic Plaza broadcasts throughout the Winter Games.

Ice Kingdom Whistler

From now through March 31st, feast your eyes on the impressive 40,000 square feet of ice and snow sculptures inspired by the 300 year old Chinese tradition of gathering and creating beautiful sculptures out of ice and snow.  Whistler Golf Course is hosting and will feature ice slides for children, interactive sculptures and brilliant light displays.

WSSF

April 10th through 15th brings us the ever popular World Ski and Snowboard Festival!  This snow and ski festival, coming into it’s 23rd year, celebrates all things Whistler.  Ski races, big air competitions, live music and entertainment, and popular filmmaker showdown.  Excitement to the extreme and not to be missed!

So we invite you to come to Whistler to build on or begin building your experiences and memories.  DO Whistler with us!

Even more fresh winter Whistler powder is upon us this weekend.

It was forecasted, we heard it, we waxed our skis and boards, and we’re ready!
Powder days ahead for Whistler Blackcomb and it’s an exciting time to be in Resort with the upcoming events…

Jan 21st through 28th:  Whistler Pride and Ski Festival.

Whistler is gearing up for a packed week of events including epic skiing, snowboarding, parties, social events and comedy gigs.

WSSF: April 10th through 15th.

We’re stoked with the announcement of a new partnership with Whistler Blackcomb and Gibbons Whistler to bring yet another World Ski and Snowboard Festival.  Celebrating its 23rd year with the best in culture, art, music and of course immense and intense snow sports with big air competitions.  They’re calling it a revitalization…bring it!

Family Après: Every Monday and Wednesday through March 28th.

Who doesn’t love a great après ski?  Olympic Plaza in the Village is doing it up family style this season once again with music, lights, local entertainment, sweet eats and much more.  Come out and enjoy the fun every Monday and Wednesday after you’ve had your fill on the hill.

Getting to Whistler.

Remember, Whistler has great in-Resort transfer and shuttle options available to you so leave your car at home and let us get you to Whistler safely, easily and comfortably.

A Family That Skis Together, Stays Together…

I came across the best article recently about a local Vancouver family that highlighted their Whistler and Vancouver outdoor lifestyle that they attribute to their happy family dynamic!

Yes, of course it’s about the skiing time they enjoy on the hills of Whistler Mountain, but it’s also very much about the time they have to chat together during their transfers to Whistler and their return back to Vancouver.  It’s about dialing in to quiet evening family time with board games and books and planning their outdoor adventures for the next day.

In the winter time they embrace the snowy hills of Whistler and in the summer months they hit those Whistler hiking and biking trails hard.  They are laying a foundation for their family and Whistler is helping them do that one skiing or biking weekend at a time!
